Redefining Mobility Through Compassion and Innovation
Born from one Caregiver’s story.
Built for millions more.
It began with one Caregiver and one impossible day.
When Susan Penski cared for her husband living with Parkinson’s, she searched for a powered wheelchair she could guide safely from behind. None existed. Every solution ignored the Caregiver — until she created her own.
That idea became CareGlider: a lightweight, powered chair that lets caregivers walk beside or behind their loved ones, without strain, fear, or guilt.
Susan’s vision was simple: restore dignity, safety, and shared movement to families everywhere.
“No one should be injured caring for someone they love.”
— Susan Penski, Inventor & Co-Founder
Turning Compassion into Technology
When CEO David Carson heard Susan’s story and saw the prototype designed by Michael Romeo, he saw what the world had missed — the silent labor of 250 million Caregivers. As a lifelong med-tech innovator, David, along with Susan and Mike set out to build more than a product.
Together, they’re leading a movement to make caregiving safer, smarter, and filled with dignity.
CareGlider is more than innovation. It’s empathy engineered.
“We’re not just building a product — we’re redefining what care looks like.”
— David Carson, CEO & Co-Founder
Care made lighter.
Lives made freer.
At CareGlider, we’re continuing to design solutions that restore independence and dignity for families everywhere. Our journey is powered by real caregivers and their experiences. Each innovation we build is guided by one purpose: to make caregiving feel less like a burden and more like freedom — for both those who give care and those who receive it.
